Myles Sexton is one of Toronto’s most anticipated FASHIOISTAS. He is an androgynous model, a make-up artist and designer who recently this year launched his own jewelry line self-named M.Sexton. The jewelry line consists of statement pieces taking the ‘statement’ to a whole new fashion level’ the Summer/Spring 2013 collection is edgy with chrome, black, silver, leather and metal accessories which can be worn by both men and women. Not only does Myles do all of the above but he has extended his resume and ventured into web T.V launching his online series ‘I Walk For Myles In These Shoes’. I attended his launch party at the packed out bar with fashion industry folks alike at Smiths Bar down on Church Street back in July. It was a great night and Myles looked eccentrically amazing, he is a genuinely lovely, down to earth and gracious guy. My goodness does he have a figure to put most us ladies to shame, with his long legs, little-itty-bitty waste and great cheek bones…well jealous ;-)

‘I Walk For Myles In These Shoes’ allows viewers to see behind the scenes of what really happens before the make-up goes on, the cameras start flashing and the runway begins. The series also introduces Myles friends and associates, some of who share personal feelings and their struggles about coming out into the gay community. We get to see fabulous fashion events such as Fashion Art Toronto Fashion Week; it is well worth the watch.

Myles is 21years old and originally from Brooklyn, Nova Scotia where he began his modeling career. When he was fifteen, Myles was discovered while on vacation when an agent approached him as he was intrigued with his sharp jaw structure. Myles worked with his first modeling agency for only a year as he wasn’t happy as they tried to conform his androgynous style to that of a more masculine man. The agency made him cut his hair into a boyish haircut and ordered him to strip his make-up, so once he graduated from high school he moved to Halifax N.S and reverted back to his androgynous look which many compare similarities to androgynous model Andrej Pejic. This young entrepreneur’s career has now been taken by storm in the city of Toronto and he is reaching for the stars with great success. You can see Myles on the runway at this years Toronto Fashion Week 22nd-26th October.
M.Sexton is currently available at TSOQ, Pretty Freedom and North Bound Leather in Toronto.
